Located in the heart of Whangarei, we’re a health and eco store that’s been part of the neighbourhood for over 10 years. At Putiputi Ra you’ll find we go that little extra mile when it comes to shop hours so our very busy customers don’t miss out on our valuable service and products.

A huge selection of organic produce, meat, dairy, groceries, herbs (culinary and medicinal), treats, superfoods, and bulk grains and flours.
We also carry a wide range of supplements, eco cleaning products, seeds for your garden, natural pet food and pet care items.
There’s a mini book shop covering loads of wellness related topics, and a community board that’s so big, it’s a wall!
We’re also proud to offer in-store naturopaths to assist you 6 days a week and a well stocked herbal dispensary. Plus, our specialty wellness clinics in naturopathy and homeopathy.

What have we got for you in our oasis of organics?
Putiputi Ra is full to the brim with beautiful organic fruit and veggies, some proudly local. Sweet treats from dried fruit and nuts, to chocolate bars (vegan, dairy and raw), bikkies, and freshly baked goodies for every diet type. Yup, even raw ‘un-baked’ treats.
Superfoods like spirulina, bee pollen, chia seeds, camu camu powder, goji berries, cacao nibs and powder (hey, even cacao butter). Of course, organic and natural groceries including crackers, muesli, jams, nut butters, condiments.
Fresh breads from our favorite bakeries, sourdough, ciabatta, rye, spelt, fruit loaves, gluten free bread and more.
Organic meat, from beef, venison and lamb to chicken. Free-farmed pork, too. We’ve even got sausages, pastrami, and unusual cuts if you’re so inclined.
Loads of healthy oils, like extra virgin coconut oil, hemp seed oil, olive oil (in bulk too), walnut oil, pumpkin seed oil, flax seed oil (multiple varieties) to name a few.
Wide range of high quality, hand-picked supplements and vitamins, including probiotics and Ayurvedic products. Eco cleaning products, in bulk, so you can bring your own containers.
For the fluffy ones in your life, treats, grooming goods, health care and supplements. Our in-house mini book shop. Organic and natural body care products and makeup. Organic dairy and soy. Dry goods in bulk, a variety of rice, beans, grains and flours (including gluten free).
And you can get a mean cup of tea, made with our own filtered water.
